This playful, hands-on workshop introduces participants to collage as a process of building from simple fragments and forms. Focusing on abstraction and composition, attendees will break down forms into basic shapes and experiment with how colour, layering, and placement affect the final output.
Working primarily with paper, participants will create small collages by arranging cut fragments into expressive figures or compositions. The session encourages intuition and experimentation rather than perfection, allowing participants to respond freely to shapes and colours.
At the heart of Lawrence’s practice is the act of elevating everyday materials and using them in unexpected ways as a means of seeing familiar things differently. Through a short introduction and guided making session, participants will gain insight into his process while creating a unique collage to take home.
