What drives our city?
How would you rethink and redesign it?
From February 13 – April 30, 2026, Goethe-Institut Nigeria presents Chord Notes: Body Rhythms in the City, a major exhibition exploring how cities can be imagined and designed through the body; through breath, memory, care, movement, and lived experience.
Curated by Chinyere Obieze in collaboration with Orinayo Odubawo, the exhibition brings together two women-led collectives: Sarauniya Ènè and MatriAér Lab whose immersive installations rethink urban life through sensory, ecological, and embodied design.
From olfactory cityscapes inspired by community dreams, to breathing architectures that synchronize space with human tempo, the exhibition proposes futures where cities are designed with people, not just around them.
