Tracing Forms: The Art of Making highlights how Nigerian artists create their work, focusing on technique rather than theme or era. It shows how methods—from traditional carving and bronze casting to experimental materials and digital media—serve as forms of knowledge and cultural memory. Organized into four sections — Material & Gesture, Matter & Transformation, Environmental & Spatial Practice, and Digital & Lens-Based Practice — the exhibition reveals the continuity between ancestral craft and contemporary innovation. Ultimately, it presents technique as a vital way to understand Nigerian art and the creative intelligence behind it.
