I love moving through Yenwa Gallery, JK Randle, and Windsor Gallery, each one offering something distinct yet equally vital to Lagos’s art scene.

Lagos Gallery Weekend does an incredible job of bringing these spaces—and the people who keep them alive- into focus, highlighting the talent, dedication, and care that make it all possible. Looking ahead, my hope is simple: that an even broader range of opportunities opens up for the many artists and professionals shaping our creative landscape, allowing their work to be seen, supported, and celebrated in full.

Anthony’s Route
I usually begin at Yenwa Gallery, which Ugonna has intentionally kept a safe space where, from the moment I enter to when I leave, it’s all about the art, something I deeply appreciate. From there, I move to JK Randle Centre, a space that carries an ancestral feeling, both historical and grand, and that has maintained its spirit through thoughtful programming and audience engagement since it first opened. I like to end at Windsor Gallery, a multi-level space that always introduces me to a new artist or piece, a space whose crazy, vibrant energy mirrors Richard, the owner, perfectly. The focus on art, culture, and preservation here is unique, and it’s the perfect way to close the day.
